取愛神一箭穿心的意象，因而又稱為「邱比特車工」。
是1980~1990年代起發展，一種要求鑽石冠部角度、與亭部角度比例佳、
對稱性(Symmetry)極高、鑽石火光亮度佳的切割方式。
世界上只有少數的鑽石被切割成八心八箭車工，因此八心八箭價格通常高一些。
八心八箭怎麼看？完美八心八箭車工意思是：
圓明亮式車工(Round Brilliant Cut)鑽石車工比例符合特定角度，
接近完美車工比例、理想式車工時，
以八心八箭觀測鏡由正上方看是放射狀對稱八箭圖案、正下方看為對稱八心圖案。
但八心八箭也有優劣之分，例如腰部厚度、是否對稱或歪斜、是否符合完美車工比例，
並非只要看起來八心八箭都是最好車工，反過來說最好車工也有可能不是八心八箭。
另外，八心八箭戒指已經鑲嵌好，只能從正上方看到八箭。

- 亭部角度 Pavilion Angle = 40.2~41.0 (40.6-40.8 最佳)
- 冠部角度 Crown Angle = 33.4~36.4 (34~35最佳)
- 鑽石桌面比例 Table = 53~58% (55~57% 最佳)
- 腰下刻面長度 / 下腰刻面長度 Lower girdle halves length = 75~80% (77% 最佳)
- 星形面長度 Star facets length = 40~55% (45~50% 最佳)
八心八箭在國際鑑定證書方面：
- GIA鑽石證書並不對八心八箭進行分級 (即使鑽石有雷射刻字"H&A")
- EGL證書有標示八心八箭圖案。
- IGI與HRD證書具有八心八箭分級，IGI對八心八箭有進一步的詳細證書
- 鑽石克拉 (Carat) - 鑽石克拉重量大小，一克拉 = 100分 = 0.2公克，直徑約6.5mm
- 鑽石顏色 (Color) - GIA鑽石顏色等級區分D最白，愈白愈好。建議選鑽石顏色D,E,F,G,H
- 鑽石淨度 (Clarity) - FL無瑕，鑽石淨度VVS與VS肉眼不可見雜質，需以放大鏡分辨
- 鑽石車工 (Cut) - 「鑽石3Excellent」接近完美車工比例，亮度最好、而鑽石比利時車工工藝最好。
- 鑽石對稱 (Symmetry) - 「八心八箭車工」H&A是種要求對稱性高、接近完美車工比例的切工
- 鑽石拋光 (Polish) - 切割面要研磨光滑
- 鑽石螢光反應 (Diamond Fluorescence) - 初次購買建議選購無螢光或微弱中等(None / Faint)的鑽石
