鑽石的切割。除了鑽石車工比例，還包括對稱、拋光、共三大重點。
上圖是GIA鑽石車工等級、下圖是理想鑽石車工比例，鑽石完美比例光線能夠全反射、亮度火光極佳。
「鑽石車工等級」指鑽石的切割技術。而鑽石比利時車工又是公認最好的工藝，有三個重點：
比例 (Cut Proportion / Cut Grade)：鑽石各部分比例、角度是否符合完美車工鑽石。拋光 (Polish)：鑽石刻面是否光滑對稱 (Symmerty)：切割不歪斜、各角度大小形狀相同
當三者都達到最高等級時，就稱為鑽石車工3EX、或3Ex diamond。
如上圖二比例 (Cut Proportion / Cut Grade)，當鑽石車工3Excellent時，
達到鑽石完美比例與理想車工，光線反射最佳最耀眼。
結論：建議是挑選比例為鑽石最高等級 - Excellent等級。
- 鑽石克拉 (Carat) - 鑽石克拉重量大小，一克拉 = 100分 = 0.2公克，直徑約6.5mm
- 鑽石顏色 (Color) - GIA鑽石顏色等級區分D最白，愈白愈好。建議選鑽石顏色D,E,F,G,H
- 鑽石淨度 (Clarity) - FL無瑕，鑽石淨度VVS與VS肉眼不可見雜質，需以放大鏡分辨
- 鑽石車工 (Cut) - 「鑽石3Excellent」接近完美車工比例，亮度最好、而鑽石比利時車工工藝最好。
- 鑽石對稱 (Symmetry) - 「八心八箭車工」H&A是種要求對稱性高、接近完美車工比例的切工
- 鑽石拋光 (Polish) - 切割面要研磨光滑
- 鑽石螢光反應 (Diamond Fluorescence) - 初次購買建議選購無螢光或微弱中等(None / Faint)的鑽石
